How it works--

To guarantee spot on calendar and avoid disappointment, parents by 2nd trimester in pregnancy can and are encouraged to contact Emma Lynn to make a deposit of $50 toward desired package. (Package and pricing info are inquired only through email. Please write to [email protected] for a request). For those already late in pregnancy or have had their baby and is under two weeks can still attempt to schedule a session. The photographer will do her best to accommodate you. 


All posed newborn sessions are taken in Emma Lynn's home studio located in Sanger, California. It is kept very warm and relaxed with ocean wave sounds to keep the babies cozy and asleep. Most of the newborn images seen here were taken strictly between 4-12 days after birth. (After this age they do not sleep as deeply and often do not like being moved around into different poses/set changes, loose their natural curl and newness.) Parents are asked to contact Emma Lynn once baby has been born to schedule the actual newborn session within the 12 day time frame.

There is  plenty of time reserved for feedings/diaper changes in between the photo taking. An average newborn session tends to be around three hours. All props are provided and according to the clients color wish list (established prior to session) Emma Lynn will have all set ups ready to be approved by parent upon arrival. Emma Lynn's photographer style prefers simple portraiture of close ups, entire body, earthy tones, deep shadows to enhance features of the face and all with the use of selected minimal props,(like knitted hats, headbands and wraps so baby does not get lost in the image). Some of Emma Lynn favorite shots of newborns are actually with no props at all.

Clients should expect their baby's photos to resemble just as the same style displayed in photos on this website. 

Within a week after the photo session, clients are sent an online photo gallery. There with further instructions they can select which photos they wish to keep. Once final selections are made and client has notified the photographer the editing process starts. Once all finished, edited images will be sent back to client with a pin # to download at full 100% resolution/quality with printing rights. Hard copies can be made as additional on a cd or flash drive. The website will also have conveient professional printing options as well.
